B J Harrison

Dear Peeps,

No, this is not the name of a new pet or a new friend. This is the name of a furniture maker who was in business from the mid-1800s to about 1920. Arkville, New York. They manufactured some amazing folding chairs. I was thrilled to find four of them on my recent trip to see my sister. I honestly do not know a lot about the company, but I am thinking it stayed in business by way of a son from his father. At any rate, these chairs are in great shape and are approaching 100 years old. They are perfect for the shop.

I have planted a few more flowers in front of the shop. I am really looking forward to making more birdbaths. The past few days have been very very spring like. We have had sunshine and warm weather!

A rusted shepherd's hook stands next to the store's steps. (Say that fast 10 times!)

Yesterday we had a sudden and considerable hail storm.

The hail started out small and got bigger over time. It lasted for about 6-7 minutes. Crazy!

I will start sharing recent new inventory! Hope everyone is well. Be thinking of my sweet mama who is in awful pain with her back.

Enjoy this day!

  1. Sorry to hear your Mama is in pain, she will be in my prayers. Love the chairs, what a great find. Take care.

    1. Thank you so much! I have been very worried about her!

  2. Thinking of your Mom, she is such a sweet lady. :)

  3. Wow, that is some hail! Those are great chairs.

    1. And it lasted about 6-7 minutes. Just kept on falling! And yes! Thanks!!

Dear friends, I love hearing from each and every one of you. I will always do my best to respond and to keep up with your blogs as well. xoxo Lynn
